What Coolio Does
Coolio discovers and controls compatible air conditioning units on your local Wi-Fi network. The app communicates directly with supported devices over your local network.
Information Coolio Accesses
Coolio may access the following information in order to discover, identify, and control your compatible air conditioning units:
- Local network access
- Device identifiers provided by the air conditioning unit
- Local IP addresses of compatible devices
- Device metadata such as firmware version and MAC address
- Air conditioning state information such as power status, operating mode, target temperature, fan speed, vane position, and related status values
How Information Is Used
Coolio uses this information only to:
- Discover compatible devices on your local network
- Connect to and control those devices
- Display device information and status in the app
- Store your device list and preferences on your device
- Support features such as schedules, ordering, and settings
Data Sharing
Coolio does not sell your personal data.
Coolio does not share your device information with third parties.
Coolio is designed to operate locally. Device communication happens directly between your iPhone and your compatible air conditioning units on your Wi-Fi network.
Data Storage
Device information and app preferences may be stored locally on your device so the app can remember your units, settings, schedules, and display preferences.
Coolio does not require account creation.
Coolio does not require you to provide your name, email address, or phone number to use the app.
Analytics and Tracking
Coolio does not use third-party advertising trackers.
Coolio does not use cross-app tracking.
Local Network Permission
Coolio requests Local Network permission in order to discover and communicate with compatible air conditioning units on your Wi-Fi network. Without this permission, the app cannot find or control your devices.
Children’s Privacy
Coolio is not directed to children under 13, and the app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
Coolio is designed to keep device communication local to your network. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. If changes are made, the updated version will be posted at the app’s Privacy Policy URL and the effective date will be revised.
